This year, we expect several high-priority bills in the 2017 General Assembly. After last year's session, affordable housing issues remain prominent in the minds of our state legislators.

This Legislative Luncheon is your opportunity to demonstrate to our lawmakers that we are a strong community and united in our purpose to secure resources for the development and preservation of affordable housing throughout the state. Help us send a clear message to elected officials on the importance and urgency of our issues.

The luncheon will include brief remarks on current legislation and provide an opportunity for constituents to share positive impacts of affordable housing in their communities.  In addition, members of the Governor's staff have been invited to update attendees on the Governor's position on key affordable housing issues.

Attendees are encouraged to invite their personal Representatives and Senators to join them at this lunch (Housing Colorado will be covering the cost of the legislator lunches).  Review Housing Colorado's Reach Out to Your Legislator in Six Easy Steps for insight on how to connect with your representatives.

Attendees may also attend an optional pre-luncheon issues briefing from 10:30 am - 11:45am. This session is optional and offered at no additional charge; the issues briefing will provide greater detail on the current legislation under discussion in the legislature.
