Announcing the 2015 Annual Statewide Outreach Meetings & Training

Housing Colorado is pleased to once again host our Annual Statewide Outreach Meetings & Training in partnership with the Colorado Division of Housing.  This summer, we will meet with local affordable housing professionals throughout the state to learn more about your region’s issues, challenges and opportunities.  In addition, Housing Colorado has teamed up with the Division of Housing, who will be offering a special training course on resources for home modification programs using Medicaid and CDBG funding. Here are the following dates and selected locations:

During the outreach portion of the meeting, attendees will have the opportunity to:

  • Network with affordable housing peers in the region
  • Hear more about legislative updates and Housing Colorado’s strategic priorities this year
  • Provide input for planning education programs and resources
  • Enjoy free lunch and the company of new friends!

During the Division of Housing training on resources for home modification program, topics covered during this session will include:

  • Learn about efforts to make the Medicaid Home Modification program more efficient, effective (& elegant) by coordinating it through CDBG-funded Single Family Owner-Occupied Housing Rehabilitation programs.
  • Discuss how local rehabilitation agencies will play an important role in the new Home Modification program, as demonstrated by a pilot program with the City of Colorado Springs
  • This session will also integrate multifamily rehab and new construction processes.
