About Housing Colorado
We're working to educate, inform and advocate for affordable housing.

Housing Colorado is a statewide, multi-sector membership association of housing professionals representing the industry’s diverse interest groups. The organization is recognized throughout Colorado as a valuable resource on affordable housing, providing important information, education, advocacy, and networking services.

Housing Colorado works to shift public perception and policy environment, while simultaneously providing practitioners with the tools and knowledge to meet the challenges of affordable housing. This strategic approach allows Housing Colorado to heighten its impact on affordable housing issues throughout the state, helping support its vision to ensure every Coloradan has a decent, safe, and affordable home within a healthy and sustainable community.

Housing Colorado is to be a unified voice promoting the preservation and production of quality affordable housing for low and moderate income Coloradans through statewide education and advocacy in order to build a strong economy and healthy communities.

Housing Colorado was officially launched in 2005 with the merger of two non-profits (Colorado Affordable Housing Partnership and Colorado Rural Housing NOW!), as well as the restructuring of a third agency (the Colorado Low-Income Housing Campaign). A task force comprised of key leaders within the affordable housing community, which became Housing Colorado’s founding leadership, identified tremendous synergy of the three independent organizations. Through a more unified approach, the new organization of Housing Colorado would more effectively shift public consciousness and the policy environment to provide a wider range of affordable housing options in Colorado.
