Janice Rodriquez, Office of Public Housing - Office of Field Operations, U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development
Janice Rodriquez is the Public Housing Director for the Denver Office of Public Housing (OPH). In this role, she is responsible for the oversight of 165 local Public Housing Authorities in their administration of the Public Housing and Housing Choice Voucher programs in the six states that make up Region 8 (CO, MT, ND, SD, UT, WY). Janice transitioned into her current position in July 2015 after serving as Denver OPH’s Division Director for six years. Janice first joined the Department in 2002 as a Federal Career Intern in the Boston office. She also worked in the Denver Office of Counsel as a senior program attorney for several years before returning to her OPH roots in 2009.
Janice has actively participated in key national initiatives for the Department. She joined the Secretary’s transformation initiative task force, Delivering Together, where she led efforts to reduce PHA reporting burden. Janice was also assigned full-time to the Virgin Islands Housing Authority Receivership Team. Most recently, Janice served as the Oversight Administrator for the East St. Louis Housing Authority following the transition of the agency to local control after 32 years under HUD receivership.
Doug Snyder, Senior Development Director, Volunteers of America
Doug Snyder joined Volunteers of America National Services in 2012 and is a Senior Development Director. He is responsible for development and preservation of affordable housing in Colorado and Alaska. In Colorado, the Volunteers of America portfolio consists of over 1,400 units across 15 properties from the Front Range to the western slope. Doug has over 20+ years of successful underwriting, financing, and developing commercial/multi-family real estate on behalf of a variety of ownership groups. His affordable housing experience includes work with Low Income Housing Tax Credits, Tax Exempt Bonds, HUD programs, grants, and other funding sources across senior, family, and homeless projects. Doug served on the Housing Colorado Board and the CHFA Tax Credit Advisory Group. Doug holds a Bachelors in Science in Business from the University of Pittsburgh and a Masters of Science in Real Estate and Construction Management from the University of Denver.
