Nancy Erickson, MBA, CAE, has over thirty years experience in the nonprofit association field. Within her company, Erickson & Associates Consulting, she served as the Executive Director for the Association for Theatre in Higher Education (19 years) and the American Society for Theatre Research (11 years). Other clients include: the International Federation for Theatre Research, the Society for Dance History Scholars, the Congress on Research and Dance, and the Association of Collegiate Conference and Event Directors International. Nancy holds a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from Loyola University in Chicago and is a Certified Association Executive (CAE) with the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE).

Emily Nilsen has nine years of experience in the nonprofit sector. Most recently, she served as Communications Manager for a national association and nonprofit. Emily is dedicated to providing great messaging, content and marketing strategy to the nonprofit sector and is particularly well versed in membership communications, outreach and development. Emily Nilsen has a B.A. in History from Regent University and is currently working toward her Master's in Public Administration from the School of Public Affairs at  University of Colorado Denver.

Roberta Trujillo

A native of Colorado, Roberta Trujillo has over 20 years of experience providing administrative support for a variety of organizations. Most notably as the Communications Manager with the Aspen Board of Realtors, the local membership chapter of the Colorado Association of Realtors. Roberta is experienced with membership-based associations, event support, membership database management and supporting the work of volunteer committees. Roberta is deeply committed to serving under-served populations, and this passion has led to many volunteer experiences that assist individual and families in finding shelter and housing.

Emily Elsenbast Pares 
Conference Assistant

Emily has spent the past decade working at the intersection of education and politics. She has consulted, managed and supported dozens of candidate campaigns at the local, state, and federal levels, particularly working with teachers to run for office. Emily also served as a high school math teacher and instructional coach in south Texas. Emily is a current member of the Junior League of Denver, the organizing group ENUF Metro Denver, and on the board of New Leaders Council - Denver. Emily earned a bachelors degree from the University of Illinois and is currently pursuing a Master's in Public Administration from University of Colorado Denver. 





Sarah Riopelle

Sarah Riopelle is passionate about association management and communications. She has worked for the Muscular Dystrophy Association where she marketed educational programs for the Northern Colorado community. Prior to Housing Colorado, Sarah worked for the Financial Planning Association as the chapter relations associate where she provided communication and support to chapters across the county. Sarah has a degree in journalism from Colorado State University with an emphasis in public relations.
