Announcing Release of Housing Report:
Exploring Colorado's Housing Affordability Challenges in All of Their Complexity

Shift Research Lab, in partnership with Phyllis Resnick, PhD, recently released a new report to help policymakers, advocates and housing experts better understand the many factors contributing to the state’s housing crisis by providing insight into unfavorable trends impacting the housing system. Exploring Colorado’s Housing Affordability Challenges in All of Their Complexity builds off their previous research on family economic security, which shows many Colorado families are more housing cost-burdened today than ever before. The study argues the crisis is largely a supply issue, there is not one fix and now is the time to think differently.

Housing Colorado and The Colorado Health Foundation were proud to commission this study, as it will lead to solution-based discussions for how we can solve the housing issues facing our state. Click here to read the press release.

We were also glad this subject caught the interest of the Denver Post who featured it on the front page of the Sunday paper on January 28th. It incorporated the data and findings of the study with the tangible impacts that housing unaffordability is having on the community. You can read that article here.

We hope to see more news reports, and will update this page to showcase other articles when they come in. If you are in the media, please see our media requests page for contact information.
