Affordable Housing in Small Communities
Housing Colorado is proud to announce the release of a new publication: Affordable Housing in Small Communities – Deciphering the problem and finding solutions. There is no doubt that the lack of affordable housing is a key issue for communities throughout Colorado. While there is a substantial body of knowledge on urban and suburban efforts, smaller and rural communities have challenges, resources, and programs that are often different and unique to more metro-based counterparts.
This publication, produced in partnership with the Colorado Municipal League and University of Colorado, seeks to frame the issues facing smaller communities and begin a new conversation on how affordable housing challenges can be identified and successfully addressed in rural areas of the state.
